Hello Parents & Students,

We are pleased to announce the start of the Pueblo 21st CCLC Program on September 20!  We will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school from 3:30 to 5:30PM.  An Activity Bus is available for students who stay after school.  This year, our program will focus on helping students recover some of the ground that they have lost because of the pandemic.  We will be offering tutoring in all subjects, credit recovery classes (including grade replacement), as well as a host of fun and engaging activities after school.  All grades are welcome!

Homework Helper/Tutoring
Homework Helper AM session is now running from 7 to 8AM in the library, Monday through Friday. On September 20 we will hold tutoring after school. We are doing grade checks, emailing teachers on behalf of students, tutoring in all subjects and providing computers, printers and other supplies students need.

Credit Recovery & Grade Replacement
Credit recovery and grade replacement will take place online on APEX.  However, all unit tests and final exams must be taken in person before or after school.  Before any student is allowed to enroll in a credit recovery class, we will do a grade check and help that student improve any failing grades first.

MakerCon 2022 (March)
A MakerCon is an event where students show off their creativity!  We are going to focus the majority of our enrichment activities this year around creating things for our MakerCon.  We will offer fashion upcycling, sewing, knitting, crochet, cooking and wood shop classes this fall.  As part of the MakerCon, we are having a Fashion Show in which all student are invited to participate!

Drone Racing Course
As part of our MakerCon, we would like to make a Drone Racing Course on campus.  Please sign up for Tech Warriors on Mondays and Tuesdays if you are interested in Drone racing.

Parent Meetings
We will also offer a series of parent meetings intending to help parents meet the many challenges youth face during the pandemic. Topics will include the effects of marijuana on teens, vaping and other substance abuse issues.

Our tentative schedule is below along with the link to register.  We have a large variety of classes from Guitar to Folklorico to Gardening to Biking to Hiking and more!  Please register as soon as possible.  We will send out notices to all students enrolled in a class when it begins.  Many classes will start the week of September 20 but some will begin later.
