Honoring Mr. Montaño
Dear Pueblo families & community,
In coordination with TUSD, Pueblo High School will utilize Wednesday, February 16 as a non-instructional day so faculty members can join the family of Rafael “David” Montaño at his services. Mr. Montaño was a beloved member of the Warrior family and well-respected figure in the city of Tucson and beyond. His legacy was such that most Pueblo employees will attend his services thus, Pueblo has no option but to cancel school on Wednesday, February 16.
Students will have the opportunity to pay respects to their beloved Asst. Principal Montaño at Pueblo during an on-campus vigil on Thursday, February 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the patio area. The following details outlines the family’s plans to celebrate the life of Mr. Montano. Wake: When: Tuesday, February 15 Where: Brings Funeral Home Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm. Funeral/Mass: When: Wednesday, February 16 Where: Corpus Christi Catholic Church (reception to follow at 11210 E. Sundance Dr.) Time: 10:00am Our hearts are heavy so please, take time to heal with loved ones. Sincerely, Frank Rosthenhausler
Note: If students need to come to campus on Wednesday, February 16, they can and we will have supervision arranged for them. Breakfast and lunch will still be available.
