Girls Softball vs. Sunnyside
Pueblo just proved why you don’t come into the Warrior Block expecting an easy win! The Warriors took down Sunnyside 4-3 in a non-conference clash that went straight down to the wire. The Warriors stopped a 2-run surge in the top of the 6th and stayed ice cold under pressure. They shut down the rally, silenced the bats, and slammed the door to secure the win!
Boys Baseball
Pueblo's baseball team is competing in the John Gleeson Memorial Lancer Baseball Classic at Reid Park. The tournament brings together teams from across Arizona and honors longtime Tucson coach and educator John Gleeson, who spent decades mentoring student athletes and growing the game of baseball in Southern Arizona. Good luck to the Pueblo Warriors!
Girls Basketball
The Pueblo girls basketball team took on Marana and came out on top with a big win! Way to show your strength, teamwork and determination on the court. Go Warriors!
Ruby Bridges Event
Pueblo students took part in a Ruby Bridges walk and event on campus, including writing about how Ruby Bridges has inspired them.
Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School Youth Vision Award
Congratulations to Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School for receiving the Frances McClelland Youth Vision Award from the YWCA of Southern Arizona! Through their work at the Davis-Romero Mariachi Summer Camp, they inspire a love of music, language, and culture, while modeling confidence, patience, and leadership for the next generation.
Pueblo Cheer Team
Pueblo High School's cheer team lights up the field with their energy, spirit, and unstoppable Warrior pride! From every chant to every stunt, they bring the heart and hype to every game — go Warriors!
Cross Country Meet
Pueblo welcomed Catalina High School for a cross country meet, with athletes taking on three routes around the Pueblo campus. Runners pushed themselves to improve their times and gear up for the competitions still ahead.
Football Game on New Turf
On September 19, Pueblo High School unveiled the new turf at Santa Cruz Stadium for their first home game — the latest upgrade provided by the TUSD Bond 2023. The new field inspired the Warriors to go on to get their first win of the season, routing Copper Canyon 41-0.
Mes de La Cultura Opening Ceremony
On September 15, Pueblo High School hosted the opening ceremony for Mes de la Cultura/Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring folklorico and mariachi performances.
Wrestling State Champs
Congratulations to our three wrestling athletes, Dalien Duarte, Elizabeth Valenzuela Smith, and Jozeph Valenzuela Smith, who brought home the 2025 AZ State Championship! On August 22, they were honored with their well-deserved championship rings at a special presentation at Pueblo High School. The hard work, dedication, and warrior spirit of the PHS coaches and students continue to make us proud!
